FAQ

Have Questions? We’re Here to Help.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s natural to have questions along the way. Whether you’re wondering what to expect in your first session, how insurance works, or what therapy might look like for you—we’ve got you covered. Below are some of the most commonly asked questions to help you feel informed, comfortable, and confident as you begin your journey with Zein Mindcare.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or are simply looking for support and clarity, therapy can be a helpful space to explore your thoughts and emotions. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit—therapy is for anyone seeking growth, healing, or greater self-understanding.

In a typical session, you’ll talk with your therapist in a safe, non-judgmental space about the challenges you’re facing. Together, you’ll explore your emotions, identify patterns, set goals, and develop strategies for healing and growth. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs.

Therapy looks different for everyone. Some clients find clarity and relief in just a few sessions, while others engage in longer-term work. Your goals, needs, and progress will help determine the right duration for you, and we’ll revisit this together as therapy unfolds.

Yes—your privacy is deeply respected. Everything you share in therapy remains confidential, except in rare cases where there is a legal obligation to protect your safety or the safety of others. We’ll review these exceptions in detail during your first session.

We recognize that caregivers play an essential role in a teen’s emotional well-being. While therapy sessions are primarily one-on-one with the adolescent to protect their confidentiality and foster trust, we may involve parents or guardians at key points—such as during intake, treatment planning, or when discussing strategies for support at home.

With the teen’s consent (unless there’s a safety concern), we may share general themes or progress updates, but we do not disclose session details unless legally required. Our goal is to support both the teen’s growth and the family’s understanding in a way that respects the adolescent’s autonomy and developmental needs.
